The symposium will be introduced and moderated by Jane Flood (story- teller).
Speakers include Steve Attwill (GPMU - Graphical Paper and Media Union), Ted Honderlch (Philosophy Professor and Writer), Kate Pool (Deputy General Secretary, Society of Authors).
Speakers will make short opening presentations and there will be time for questions and debate. Topics will include: the oral tradition of story-telling; the organisation of the publishing and book trades; the impact of film, TV and E-publishing on conventional publishing.
