Children's
poetry competition: Look to the stars
|
Oscar
Wilde wrote: 'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking
at the stars.'
MC2 is giving away a telescope to look at them more closely.
The winner will be the young person (8-12 age range) we judge to have
written the best poem with an astronomy theme. With the whole Universe
to choose from, that gives you lots of 'scope'! The poem can be in
any format (including blank verse and limerick), and not longer than
one A4 page.
Hand in your entry by Friday 12th July to Charles Daniell or Maggy
Edwards at MC2 Telescope Shop, 18 Catherine Hill. Make sure you include
your name, age, address and contact phone number with your entry.
The prizewinner will be announced on 19th July. |
